It would be a historically amazing feat of maneuvering bureaucracy, worthy of its own epic book, movie, or perhaps a campfire song, to have wrangled that much data out of those hospitals with highly variable regulations and procedures, nearly all of which are in the U.S. healthcare system.
According to the coordinator of the Protect yourself Panama Kit, Elvia Lau there is only one kit, which contains “an oximeter, alcoholic gel, masks and medications: acetaminophen, antihistamine, ivermectin, enterogermina, vitamin C, multivitamins, hydroxychloroquine, zinc and finally has added 20 tablets of infant aspirin ”, drugs required for the treatment against the coronavirus, according to the Ministry.
Health experts stress that hydroxychloroquine was synthesized in 1946 and has had clinical experience since 1947.
Dario Flores also said there is safety in the use of hydroxychloroquine as it prevents the second stage of inflammatory processes ie, a cytokine storm.
“To date, only 2 drugs have shown a significant reduction in mortality in patients with COVID-19: dexamethasone (or the like) and hydroxychloroquine,” they add. “The clinical experience of adult physicians in Panama regarding the use of HCQ + AZ for the treatment of COVID-19 is extensive and supports both the effectiveness and the safety profile of that drug.”
