Professor Didier Raoult has indicated that the thesis of the dangerousness of hydroxychloroquine in the treatment of covid-19 is the greatest scientific scandal of all time.
In a video posted on Tuesday, August 18, the Marseille infectious disease specialist stressed that scientific communications have been subject to influences and choices of very great mediocrity.
The director of the IHU Méditerranée-Infection believes that everyone should stay in their place, politicians and scientists. Politicians, he points out, make politics out of science. If these are no longer reliable then it will be a disaster. “I think it’s extremely clear, scientific journals are subject to manipulation by public decision-makers”.
In addition, the doctor revealed figures proving once again the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine combined with azithromycin to treat the coronavirus. According to these statistics, out of a number of 184,589 tests performed, 78,994 are positive, i.e. a positivity rate of 7.6%. Among them 165 died, that is to say 2, 8%. Of 4,030 patients treated with hydroxychloroquine in combination with azithromycin, 18 died, representing a mortality rate of 0.4%. This therapeutic indication is the subject of strong criticism within the scientific community. Nonetheless, Raoult’s supporters still demand that this treatment be systematically incorporated into all clinical trials.
