In this first part of our interview, Dr. John Littell, MD, tells us here about his early days in treating COVID-19 early, about his perspectives regarding vaccination, especially of children, and about the trends in COVID-19 policy in Florida.

In the second part, we will discuss the recently held Florida COVID Summit, that gathered nearly 1,000 delegates, and for which Dr. Littell played a key role in planning and delivering this substantial event, within just a few weeks of its announcement.

Dr. John Littell is a board-certified family physician with more than twenty-five years of experience, that includes obstetrics and gynecology. After earning his MD from George Washington University, he served in the US Army, receiving the Meritorious Service Medal, and also served with the National Health Service Corps.

Since in Florida, where he moved some 20 years, he has served on the faculty of the School of Medicine of the University of Central Florida, as President of the County Medical Society, and as Chief of Staff at the Florida Hospital.

Dr Littell authored a book about Women’s Health Care, where he combines facts and advice relevant to women and their families, to empower them to make informed decisions about future health care. The book can be purchased on Amazon. To this day, Dr. Littell remains very active as a family physician, with practices both in Kissimmee and Ocala.

Palmer welcomes lift of hydroxychloroquine ban

Chief Health Officer (CHO) John Gerrard has now revoked the 2020 direction, stating on the Queensland Health website:
“I, Dr John Gerrard, Chief Health Officer, reasonably believe it is necessary to give the following direction pursuant to the powers under s362B of the Public Health Act 2005 to assist in contain, or to respond to, the spread of COVID-19 within the community.”
